Shuttle Endeavour has been prepared for its move from the Vehicle Assembly Building to Launch Pad 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida on Jan. 6, 2010. Technicians have placed heaters in the VAB to protect the shuttle stack’s systems in case there is cold weather during the holiday break.
The astronauts for the STS-130 mission will conduct proximity operations today during their training at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.
Endeavour is targeted to launch Feb. 7 at 4:39 a.m. EST on a construction flight to the International Space Station. Endeavour will carry the Tranquility module and Cupola to the orbiting laboratory.
