When NASA’s water-hunting robot arrives on the Moon in 2023, its all-metal wheels will have to withstand a whole lot of rocking and rolling as they move across the rugged lunar surface. The endurance of its wheels was rigorously tested in the lab, helping solidify plans for the rover’s design.
