The drugs used to treat and prevent malaria in Mozambique are still effective, according to a genomic analysis of drug resistance markers in P. falciparum, carried out by the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) and the Manhiça Health Research Center (CISM). The results of the study, published in Communications Biology, also revealed a geographical differentiation of the parasite.
