Artemis II: the journey of Orion and its crew around the Moon
2023-09-15 – Animation of the trajectory of the Artemis II mission, the first crewed mission to the Moon since 1972.
After a launch atop the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Orion and its crew perform a rendezvous and proximity operations demonstration before travelling to the Moon, doing a flyby, and finally returning to Earth with a splashdown in the Pacific Ocean.
