Buckley Air Force Base, Colo. conducted a full-scale installation preparedness exercise on Nov. 19, 2019, to demonstrate the 460th Space Wing’s capabilities to react and respond.
Both active shooter and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) simulations were conducted to mimic real-world problems and test the readiness of first responders on the military installation.
Buckley AFB tested capabilities with off-base agencies to provide support in first response, patient transport, as well as providing opportunities for further training objectives for local agencies.
Participating organizations conducted risk management evaluations during the exercise to help identify the capabilities Buckley AFB’s first responders have.
