On , SpaceX Crew-8 is scheduled to launch from NASA‘s Kennedy Space Center in Florida to the International Space Station. The crewmembers are NASA astronauts Matthew Dominick, Michael Barratt and Jeanette Epps, and cosmonaut Alexander Grebenkin. They are scheduled to return to Earth in late .

In addition to the crew, SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Endeavour will carry equipment for Canadian study Vascular Calcium. This study aims to determine if calcium is lost from bones and builds up on the walls of major arteries during long space flights.

By looking at heart health in space, Canada’s Vascular studies help us better understand how our arteries age here on Earth.
