This will be the 91st known asteroid to fly by Earth within 1 lunar distance since the start of the year, and the 8th so far this month. Three days later, another asteroid, designated 2025 QD8, will fly past us at a distance of 0.5 LD.
2025 QO7 was first observed at Observatorio Campo dos Amarais (OCA) in Brazil on August 26.
The object belongs to the Apollo group of asteroids and has an estimated diameter between 13 and 28 m (42–92 feet).
Its next approach to Earth till take place on August 20, 2027, at a distance of 32 LD (0.08 AU).
