Peterson Air Force Base is one of four finalists for the General Curtis E. LeMay Award for 2010.
The award is a special recognition for excellence in force support squadron programming and customer service and is awarded to the best large force support squadron in the Air Force. Peterson AFB won the award in 1993.
“The LeMay team will be here Jan. 21 to 24 – just about one week from now – to judge us for best in the Air Force” said Lt. Col. John Silverman, 21st FSS commander. “Though we have very little time to prepare for the evaluation, I am confident that our people will shine because they do such excellent work every single day. With the support of everyone on base, I feel certain that we will dazzle the LeMay team.”
