Arianespace has taken delivery of the sixth Ariane 5 for launch in 2009, keeping the company on track for a record year of launch activity with the heavy-lift workhorse. The vehicle’s dual payload – SES WORLD SKIES’ NSS-12 spacecraft and THOR 6 for Telenor Satellite Broadcasting – will now be installed under Arianespace responsibility in the Spaceport’s Final Assembly Building.
