The final countdown for Ariane 5’s mission with the JCSAT-12 and Optus D3 telecommunications satellites is underway at Europe’s Spaceport. Liftoff of this heavy-lift vehicle is scheduled for tonight, at the start of a one-hour launch window that opens at 7:09 p.m. in French Guiana.
