A potential new therapeutic target for Ewing sarcoma

Researchers correlate EphA2 membrane receptor with the metastatic capacity of tumors in Ewing sarcoma. Ewing sarcoma is the second most frequent bone cancer among children and adolescents, and it is characterized by its aggressiveness and tendency to metastasize. Researchers are currently working on nanoengineering a molecule capable of blocking EphA2 and deliver drugs in a targeted manner.
