First Lieutenant Megan E. Sprang is assigned to the 91st Network Warfare Squadron, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. Lieutenant Sprang was born in Medford, Ore., in 1984. She attended Phoenix High School in Phoenix, Ore., where she graduated in 2003. As a high school student, she was a member of the National Honor Society, a competing member in the national level academic decathlon, and a varsity member of the cross-country team. Upon graduation, she received an AFROTC scholarship at the University of Portland and began attending in August of 2003. She graduated from the Air Force Academy in May of 2007 earning her commission as a Second Lieutenant. Her first assignment was as an intelligence officer at the 91st Network Warfare Squadron. During her 3 years at this assignment, she has served as Battle Damage Assessment Element Leader, Crew Commander, and Weapons and Tactics Flight Commander. Lieutenant Sprang is currently enrolled in two master’s programs at Liberty University; secondary education and management and leadership. Lieutenant Sprang has been selected for promotion to Captain. (Air Force photo)
