Abstract: The Mars Organic Molecule Analyzer (MOMA) is a miniature ion trap mass spectrometer designed for the upcoming ExoMars Rover mission. The spectrometer uses laser desorption to ionize a Martian soil sample within an instrument internal clean zone maintained at ambient Martian pressure.
