Senior Master Sergeant Lonnie R. Bacon is the Air Force Space Command Electrical Manager, assigned to the Installations and Logistics Directorate, Headquarters Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Sergeant Bacon entered the Air Force on Oct. 23, 1989 and began his career as a Power Production Apprentice. Sergeant Bacon has had seven assignments and eight deployments during his 21 year Air Force career. Since arriving at Peterson AFB, he has managed Air Force Space Command electrical safety programs and the utility reliability reporting program. Sergeant Bacon is an active member of the Space Top Three Association and served as the committee’s Treasurer during the past year. His military awards include three Meritorious Service medals, four Air Force Commendation medals, four Air Force Achievement medals and a Joint Service Achievement medal. Sergeant Bacon was also recognized as the 2006 Air Education and Training Command Civil Engineer Superintendent of the year and the 2007 81st Training Wing Senior Noncommissioned officer of the Year. Sergeant Bacon graduated from the Community College of the Air Force in 2007 and currently attends Trident University working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. (Air Force photo)
